Check out this Series - Cashtactics.com

Friday, March 7th, 2008

As I have said before, I am a reader of Cashtactics.net. It is of course and internet marketing blog, but in my opinion, is very unique. The person who writes is, known as Ruck, is really cool and has no problem with telling you exactly what can help make you successful. There really is no beating around the bush. The reason I have decided to post about this blog is because right now he is doing a 1 month series on how to profit with a CPA offer using Adwords. The best part is, he is show step by step just what he does to be successful. This is some AMAZING information for someone like me who is just getting started in the business. Check him out Cash Tactics.

Making some money

Friday, February 29th, 2008

Sorry about the long time in between posts, but I am a busy person! Anyways, I am doing really well with some offers on CPA Empire, especially dating offers. I was a little slow to try and mess with dating offers, but after realizing how powerful of an appeal that dating (and really sex) was then I decided to give it a go. I have yet to try out PPC giants like Google or Yahoo, so I am sticking to what I know like social sites (Facebook) and email. I have had a little bit of luck /w Facebook, but mainly I am banking with Email.

Another thing that I have started up is a website geared at getting people to sign up for “Free shit” like free Xbox and Free Wii, however I have not launched a campaign to drive traffic to it yet. In hind sight I really shouldn’t have bothered with these “Free” offers, the payouts kinda suck and everyone and their Mom are doing them. Oh well, I will let you know how it pans out..

I have a few requests from people reading my last post showing that I had made some money with CPA Empire. I would really love to elaborate on what I am doing, but I probably won’t Lol. I have to have a few secrets!

Something really cool happened today, I got approved for Azoogleads. I had applied to them long ago and they never called me back. Well for some reason today was the day that they finally got around to my application. I talked with the person on the phone and went over the usual stuff. Then he asked me about the ways I was promoting for CPA Empire. So I told him a few things and then mentioned something about being successful with Facebook fliers, well that seemed to be the magic word! He was really impressed and quite surprised that I was somehow profiting off of FB ads (which is actually really hard, I don’t make much). It made me feel pretty good.

Community

I have been doing a lot of reading of other blogs lately and I must say that I have picked up a few ideas from others that are now making me some cash. I am really into this blog called CashTactics.net the guy there, Ruck, is quite a character (a very rich and smart character). If you have time to check out his blog then I reccomend that you do, it has been really helpful. He just earned himself a Link on my Blogroll. Lol

Thanks for reading….

My first Commisions!

While looking at the ads over at CPA Empire I found a few that really sparked my interest. So I started up a little campaign to test the waters. Well it worked!

I’m doing pretty well with this and averaging about 100 bucks a day! With no signes of it slowing down. I will keep you updated!

I Bought BANS - Build a Niche Store

Build a niche store BANS

So……I broke down and bought BANS. If you haven’t heard of BANS (Build a Niche Store) yet, then you need to come out from under that rock. It is some pretty cool software that has been causing quite a stir in the online marketing community. The software basically helps you set of a eBay conglomeration site and is very versatile and customizable. Shoemoney did a post on BANS awhile back, he went into greater detail and even built a site to show how it works. You can read about it here. Besides the commision that you earn from selling items on eBay, they also have an awesome affiliate program which pays about 44 bucks for every single person you get to sign up. Of course, to sign up it’s going to cost you 97$ (unlimited usage). I will keep you posted on how my trial and error with BANS goes.

Damn I don’t think I could have squeezed any more affiliate links in there if I had tried!

My Life….

I need to apologize to the few readers that I have. I haven’t been able to do much of anything recently with this blog or Affiliate Marketing. Mainly becasue my time is taken up by school and Fraternity. But don’t you worry! I have tons of great ideas that I will soon be trying out, so get ready for some updates.

Update: Adsense and other NewbAffiliates!

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

This week has been really busy for me, I had 2 tests and an interview. However, I have still been working diligently on this blog, and I have been brain storming on ideas. One of the things that I have realized is that if I am going to be successful at this, then I am going to have to network. I think that it is real important, as an Affiliate Marketer/Blogger, to take in the fellow marketers and bloggers that have the same dream as yourself. I believe that there is plenty of room at the table for many people to make money, and a career out of Affiliate Marketing. While doing some promoting of this blog (commenting on other blogs, social bookmarking, reading other blogs) I ran across some one who is doing almost exactly what I am doing! I thought that this was really cool. His name is Eric Mitz and he has a blog called The $1000 Affiliate Experiment, and he, much like myself was also inspired by Uberaffiliate.com. He has been at it for around 3 months now and in my opinion, he is doing pretty well! Make sure to check out his blog.

Adsense

As you can see, I have put up a little experimental Adsense block over on the right side there. I figured I would throw it up there to see what happens. Also, it lets me experiment with Adsense and see the various option I have and to get a grip on how things work. So far I have actually gotten a few clicks! This was unexpected and pretty exciting for me, even if it is only a couple of dollars.

So, this got me thinking. As you can see, the Adsense code that I have there has picked up on the fact that I have been talking a lot about credit cards. Well, it’s pretty damn obvious that NO ONE really cares about signing up for a credit card when they are reading this blog. So why did I get some clicks? Perhaps they were by accident! (or pity lol) But, lets go with the possibility of people simply accidentally clicking on my Adsense ads. The great thing is, accident or not, I’m going to get paid for it, so why not try and optimize the amount of “accidents” people make when they are at my blog? Well for starters I have changed the color of the adsense block to better blend in with my links and flow better with my overall design. Perhaps this will lure the readers of my blog to accidentally, or other wise, click on my ads! The next thing that I could do would be to move the Adsense block directly into my blog posts, like this site has done. Now, I don’t think that I am really ready quite yet to move the ad block into my blog post, but perhaps it is something that you may be interested at your own blog or site that could help your Adsense profits. Just remember, “accidents” pay just as much as purposeful clicks do!

Capitol & Credit Cards are a go!

Saturday, February 2nd, 2008

Today was a really good day for me. I woke up early and went and opened two new bank accounts, one personal account and one that I will use for my online endeavors. I also applied for my first ever credit card. It will be a student card so the limit won’t be to much, but hey, you gotta start somewhere. I also told my mom about my ideas and she agreed to hook me up with $300 to get started. $300 is much lower than what I was initially thinking, but after hearing what people had to say, I decided to start slow.

My Blog

As well as the addition of my About page, I have also added some adwords ads, just for kicks and I added the CommentLuv plugin. I really like this plugin and first saw it in use over at Caroline Middlebrook’s blog, where she uses it as an incentive for making comments.

Anyway, I will keep you updated on any progress I make, the next few weeks should be very interesting.

Affiliates, Credit Cards, and Progress!

Friday, February 1st, 2008

Well, I would like to say that today has been an exciting day for me! I did a lot of work involving this Blog and Affiliate Marketing. First off, I woke up to a bunch of positive comments on my first post. Hell, I though no one was reading this blog, I have no idea how they found it. The coolest thing was that one of the comments was from Caroline Middlebrook, it was very positive and had some good tips. Thanks a lot to everyone that took the time to make a comment, I love reading them and will always reply (you can email me also). After reading all the comments and sending some replies and emails, I started to work on my about page. I put up a few facts about myself and included a few picture so you could get a better idea of who I am. After this I headed off to class (full time student!).

When I got back from class I put focus into signing up for a few Affiliate Networks. I went ahead and submitted my application to Azoogle, CPA Empire, Hydra Network, and good ol Google Adsense. The first three listed there all require a phone call to confirm some crap which will be interesting because I have no idea what they are going to ask LOL. I suppose you will find out in my next post! Oh ya, I almost forgot! I also thought about signing up for Adbrite, which I am sure you all know. Adbrite is that advertising network that has those stupid double underlined keywords that pop out when you are reading something, they really piss me off. However, I decided I would give them a shot…….until I see what is in the security box…..
Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

Sorry I had to use image shack there, Wordpress was being stupid.

After seeing the “SCAMS” message on adbrite, I decided it was a sign and I did not sign up ;).

The next thing I did was look at a few credit cards online, I will most likely just get a regular card with a $500 limit or so because I don’t really have any credit. This will be really cool because I have been limited to Bank cards. Don’t worry tho! I plan to use care!

Lastly, I went and signed up and Stumbleupon.com and stumbled myself as well as some other blogs that have really helped me out. Whew, that was one hell of a post! Please leave comments, and as always you can email me at Andrew@newbaffiliate.com, I will get back to you.

Thanks for reading,
-Andrew

And so it begins….

Friday, February 1st, 2008

Today marks the day that I will begin to pursue a money making venture in the wonderful world of Affiliate Marketing. If you have no idea what Affiliate Marketing is then you need to head on over to Wikipedia and see for yourself. This blog will be my outlet to you and will show every single step that I take to success, or maybe even failure. I plan on making public everything except for the niches that I choose to make money with, no matter if I lose 200 bucks, or purchase an e-book, I will share it. The idea is that maybe if I show you some of the things that I had success and/or failure with then maybe in some way it can help you. If not, then hell, it might just be a little entertaining also ;).

So…..let’s get you caught up on my progress so far. Late last year I started reading the blogs of successful Affiliate Marketers like Jeremy Schoemaker, John Chow and especially Paul Bourque of Uberaffiliate.com. These websites, and really uberaffiliate.com have got me fired up about Affiliate Marketing and the possibility of making it a successful career.

While browsing the three sites I mention above I have come across a lot of ebooks, two of which I really like (actually these are the only two I have read so far lol, but they have really gotten me motivated and on the right track). The first one is quite helpful and really helped me set up this page, it is by Caroline Middlebrook (also an affiliate marketer) and is called “How to Develop Money-Making Niche Sites with Wordpress” and has been really helpful for me while I have been getting started. The second one is Adsense Arbitrage by Brad Callen, this book really got me fired up and curious about the possibilities of making ALOT of money from Affiliate Marketing.

After reading those two ebooks, and many posts on many Affiliate Marketing websites I figured I might as well give this damn thing a shot, everyone that is successful encourages you to jump right in and get started. So, I went and bought myself a domain name Newbaffiliate.com, obviously inspired by Uberaffiliate.com and some hosting at Bluehost.com. And that is pretty much where I am at right now. Here are my goals for the upcoming week:

  1. Work on Newbaffiliate.com (About page, more posts and some more content)
  2. Get some capitol (1000$ to get myself started maybe?)
  3. Work on getting myself approved with some ad networks (Azoogle, Neverblue, Hydra, etc…)
  4. Brainstorm on some ideas and start to educate myself on Keywords and some available programs
  5. Start a new Bank account and get a Credit card that has some good rewards

I doubt anyone is reading this page yet lol, but if you want to get in contact with me or you need to ask some questions, hit me up at Andrew@newbaffiliate.com
