Revolution Theme Contest

Sunday, February 10th, 2008

So as usual, Caroline Middlebrook put out her favorite links of the week today, one of which really interests me. There is a post about a contest to win a badass wordpress theme called Revolution Pro created by Brian Gardner of Revolutiontheme.com, and this post that you are now reading will be my entry into the contest to win it. It amazes me how much it helps me to read other people’s blogs and participate in their contests and posts. The Blogosphere is a very powerful ally!

Here is what it looks like:

Revolution Pro Theme

Pretty snazzy huh?

The package that you can win is worth $80, so hell, why not also enter the contest yourself? Who knows, today could be your lucky day. The offer ends on Feb 15th!

My First Affiliate Network : CPA Empire

Wednesday, February 6th, 2008

The ball has started to roll! Today I was approved for my first Affiliate Network, CPA Empire! This is very exciting for me. I always had a hard time brainstorming on ideas when I couldn’t even see the ads that I would possibly be promoting. Now that I have this blog set up and a URL to actually type in my applications, I am starting to get approved, (yes I tried applying without a site, don’t do it LOL). If you remember, I posted that I was somewhat nervous about the “screening” phone call, I didn’t want to be asked anything that I didn’t know and look stupid. Well, that was silly of me to even worry about, the phone call was awesome and very helpful. All they wanted to do was verify that I was who I said I was, that this site was mine, and that I understood their terms and conditions (because they know nobody reads them lol). After all the formality, the person that called me proceeded to introduce me to my Affiliate Manager Josh who seemed pretty cool and very knowledgeable. After talking wish Josh some, I started to look around the CPA Empire site. It was exactly as I expected, tons and TONS of ads available for almost every conceivable niche and idea, all with their stipulations and payment information listed. Pretty damn cool! As I expected, while browsing the huge list of ads, I had a few light bulbs turn on in my head, how exciting.

Networking

One of the things that I have been doing lately is a lot of networking. I am meeting all kinds of new people through this blog already and I haven’t even been online for a week! I’m having a ton of fun so far doing this, and we’ve only just begun! I am mainly meeting people through emails and the comments that they leave. The cool thing is that I keep meeting people who are in the same boat as me, Newb Bloggers! I think last time I mentioned Eric Mitz over at “The $1000 Experiment” who just got his first affiliate checks, and also I have started to talk to Fran at Probloggingmother.com she was also inspired by Caroline Middlebrook and basically took the same steps I did to start blogging. Make sure to check out these fellow Newb Affiliates/Bloggers.
